I made these cards from the August Simon Says Stamps card kit. I did use some things from my stash - some paper and a stamp set from My Favorite Things as well as some gold tape, wooden stars and navy twine. I really like the SSS kits and always check out You Tube videos by Vicki Papaioannou, who lives in Greece :). She makes 10 cards from each kit and doesn't even look at the samples they give in the kit. I really like her style. I made some changes on my samples but am always inspired by her cards and monthly video. Which card is your favorite?

The Masters 2016 - Papertrey Ink Style
Today Lynn, Kathy and I pretended we were master artists as we participated in the 5th annual Papertrey Ink Stamp-a-Faire day. This year's theme was "The Masters" and the entire day was devoted to famous artists. Here are some of my creations . It was a fun day.

New Sewing/Embroidery Area
I moved my Brother Dreamweaver to the office and bought a new industrial packing table with a maple top for it to sit on. Has a nice large shelf underneath to store thread, my smaller sewing machine and other supplies. I can also roll my 2 carts from Ikea with supplies, hoops etc underneath it to get them out of the way. If I need to sit ( I usually stand) I have a folding bar stool that is the correct height. It has lots of room on top and can even add some hooks to go through holes on the legs to hang some bags. And the best part I bought it using birthday money. Yea!

Watercolor Poppies from Rubbernecker Stamps
I went to Stampfest last weekend with Lynn and Kathy and shopped till we dropped. One of my favorite booths was Rubbernecker Stamps. This is the first card I made using 2 of their stamps. I love how easy it was and how beautiful it turned out.
