CC3C Challenge #1 Paint Marbling

I have decided to add another challenge to my crafting goals for 2014.  This new challenge CC3C is A Compendium of Curiosities - Vol 3.  We are going to work our way through Tim Holtz's newest book called "A Compendium of Curiosities -Vol 3. hence the name of the challenge.    This week's sponsor is IE Inspiration Emporium - a great on line store that I have purchased Tim Holtz products from in the past.  They have GREAT customer service.  I decided to make a large tag for this challenge and used Distress Paint - Salty Ocean, Pickett Fence Seedless Preserves and Mustard Seed.  The rolled flowers are from MFT.  I for some reason thought I had Tim's Distressed flowers die but guess I don't.  Will have to see about getting it.

Glittered Greetings

I love the Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin Up - Glittered Greetings.   Here are the cards I made.  I decided not to stamp on them but used washi tape instead.  They were so quick and easy.

Sassy Girl!

Here is my card for the weekly MFT sketch.  Ken left today for Perry, South Carolina for a soaring contest so I have lots of time to spend in the craft room this next week.  I have a lot of projects lined up.

Burlap Flower Card

Here is the card I made very quickly for this week's My Favorite Things weekly sketch.  I am also going to use it for their monthly color sketch using Natural, Razzleberry, Blu Raspberry and Gumdrop Green.

Save a Quilt

I had this old quilt that was my baby quilt.  My grandmother had pieced together the blocks then my mother put the entire quilt together for me.  As you can see it was pretty ragged.  The large blue paint stains are courtesy of Ken who must have used it as a paint backdrop.  I decided to try and save my baby quilt and get some practice with my Husqvarna Viking sewing machine and my new Brother Embroidery machine.  I had to applique lots of little fabric hearts over area with bad stains and I tried to stick to the color scheme for the blocks in the ear nearby.  The finished quilt has lots of mistakes but sure does look better don't you think.
