Missing you - MFTWSC213

Here is the card I made for this week's sketch MFTWSC213.  Don't look too close at the coloring - realized I have the shading on opposite side of what it should be with the sunshine from the top corner.  Oh well.

Lotus Blossom

Made this card today after seeing a beautiful card by Jan Tink where she used the new Stampin Up Lotus Blossom.  She had a single flower floating on rippling blue water.  I have also been wanting to try the shaving cream reinker technique so I made this background paper using several blue and green reinkers.  Then I stamped 3 lotus flowers but only used the 1st 2 layers of the stamp.  The set has 3 layers to the flower but I like how it looks using only 2.  I then added some pearls, the sentiment and a few highlights with my white pen.

It's Done - My first jelly roll quilt

I finally finished my first ever Jelly Roll Quilt.  I think it turned out pretty well.  Still have many things I need to improve on.  I did much better on the binding than on previous projects.  Now if I could learn how to sew straight.

Clean and Simple Valentine

I made this card for the weekly challenge - USEIT2015.  Every week I choose a stamp I have never used or at least haven't used in a long time.  This stamp has never seen ink - First Love from The Artful Stamper.  I really like how it turned out.  A quick and easy Valentine :)

3 Challenges in 1 card

I made this card and am using it for 3 challenges:  Week 1 of a new challenge I am going to try and do called USE IT 2015.  I also am submitting the card for the MFTWSC210 and MFT Monthly Color Challenge 13.  For  the USE IT 2015  weekly challenge I have to choose any stamp set that has never seen ink or is rarely used and decide how many cards I will make with the stamp.  I then post the set and # of cards on Splitcoast stampers and hopefully make the card and upload it to the gallery.  This will sort of force me to use stamps I have never used - something I have wanting to do.  So here is week 1.

Today I made this tag based on the Tim Holtz January tag of the month series.  He has such great technique ideas.  I just about made his exact tag with a few differences based on the supplies I had on hand.  I sure do love the distress stain and want to get some of his new stain in a spray bottle.
