Fabric covered Journal CC3C challenge #11

The challenge for this next 2 weeks for the CC3C - Compendium of Curiosities #3 Challenge 11  is Effect Powders from Tim Holtz.  I needed a journal for an upcoming project and decided to cover this journal with Tim's fabric and added the burlap trim to cover up the raw edge.  I die cut from grungepaper the mannequin from the sewing room die and used Old Paper distress powder then used some Tea Dye and Fired Brick distress inks.  The metal flower embellishment fit perfectly at the waistline of the mannequin.  The generous sponsor for this challenge ( $50 gift certificate)  is Inspiration Emporium - why not check them out right now?   I am so pleased with how my journal turned out and can't wait to show it off.

  1. Janet...wow! Your journal cover is really good. I like the mix of patterns and textures! Your dressform done with the EP technique looks good! I can see the grungy texture of it and I love it! The little Ideaology foliage metal piece in the center looks nice, too. Thanks for sharing your journal cover with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
